The first drop of the Vans x MoMA collaboration is here
I got the media alert that this collaboration was dropping soon around the same time I was seriously wanderlusting over New York. I missed my family and was dreaming about days spent exploring NYC, watching Broadway shows with my grandma, shopping with my uncle, catch-ups with friends and going on my own adventure. MoMA is at the top of my list! I mean, isn’t it on everyone’s ‘things to do in New York’ list? But it’s 2020 and all travel is on hold indefinitely so the next best thing is having these iconic artworks on my shoes while I go on adventures in my own backyard.
The first drop is in store now with another one due in November which will include footwear with selected apparel & accessory items from the entire collection. Both drops feature art represented in the museum’s collection, chosen by Vans in collaboration with MoMA. Each product was designed with careful consideration and a deep appreciation of the art, translated on Vans Classic styles.
My favourite is definitely the Salvador Dali one. Coincidentally, I have a birthday coming up so if my parents are reading this, consider this a hint.
